Though the film has its flaws, such as a miscast Renee Zellweger and a so-so script, 'Appaloosa' is still an enjoyable romp that bears some resemblance to other recent Westerns like '3:10 to Yuma.'

Juicy: Jamie Lynn Spears pregnancy rumors are no surprise

The Daily Campus, University of Connecticut, CT

1 day ago by Kevin Duffy

When news leaked last spring that Jamie Lynn Spears was pregnant, the media had an absolute field day.

Words like "skank," "slut" and "white trash" seemingly followed the 17-year-old wherever she went. It got so bad that, at one point, a Google search of "dirty whore" yielded "Did you mean Jamie Lynn Spears?"

Now, four months removed from having a beautiful baby girl, Maddie Briann, rumors are surfacing that Spears is indeed pregnant again.

Lil' Wayne: Best rapper alive?

The Daily Campus, University of Connecticut, CT

2 days ago by Stephen Ortiz

I've never liked Lil Wayne in the past - he was too hyped, too odd or just too choppy in his rhyming - so when one of the most anticipated albums in hip-hop history, "Tha Carter III," was released over the summer, I paid little mind. And when it went on to sell over a million copies in its first week (something an album hasn't done since 50 Cent's "The Massacre"), I continued to turn my nose.

The stage was set for the grand finale of this quite interesting fashion season. After several weeks, and hundreds of collections, all eyes were on Paris to close out this season with a bang. With over 50 collections shown over a six day period, trying to breakdown each collection and present those that stood out is quite a daunting task.

T.I. proved he truly is the best rapper to come out of the south with his latest album "Paper Trail." After the disappointment of his last album, "T.I. With four singles released over the summer, "No Matter What," "Whatever You Like," "Swing Your Rag," and "Swagger Like Us," the album was almost destined to be an instant classic.

Bauhaus Modern: Beyond Art

Literally translated, Bauhaus means "House of Building" or "Building School." Yet this artistic movement goes far beyond architecture, encompassing prints, paintings, photos, textiles, furniture and more, and in some ways even promoting a specific ideology - Bauhaus students and teachers were among the cutting-edge and bohemian of Germany's Weimar Republic.

So the Large Hadron Collider has joined occasional Jehovah's Witnesses Rapture predictions and Y2K computer freakouts as inaccurate indicators of Doomsday, but I wouldn't put your good deeds away just yet. Religulous loses the faith

		Religulous loses the faith

The Berkeley Beacon, Emerson College, MA

4 days ago by Harry Vaughn

Religulous is a documentary directed by the talented filmmaker Larry Charles who, two years ago, helped Sasha Baron Cohen unearth one of the most searing American satires in recent memory. While Cohen's film felt spontaneous, charged and, at the end of the day, remarkably thoughtful, Religulous seems too complacent to justify the inherent smugness of Maher and his harsh, bullying stance on why religion is a giant man-made hoax.

Suffolk University should emphasize humor in their advertising after they hear the stand-up comedy from two of their students.

Senior P.J. Westin is still an amateur comedian, but is clearly a natural at what he does. With a short resume and high hopes of being successful in the comedy industry, there is likely nothing that can get in the way of him reaching the top.

'Religulous' lacks punch

The Daily Collegian, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA

Comedian Bill Maher takes his brand of intellectual derision to the big screen with his first documentary, "Religulous."

The film is just what it sounds like: an attempt to expose the ridiculousness within organized religion.

The interviews are somewhat reminiscent of some of the segments in "Borat," which is hardly surprising, as Larry Charles directed both films.

10/09/08 - From 1986 to 1994, New Kids on the Block was one of the greatest musical acts. Then, for 14 years, the band disappeared, with each member starting a solo career singing whether it was in acting, or selling real-estate. But after 14 years of being on the margins of the music industry, the band that sold 70 million albums world wide, returned with its fifth album, The Block.
