During the winter break, a 20-year-old friend of mine had oral surgery, taking three of her "wisdom" teeth out. Wisdom at the age of 20 is very unlikely. I, therefore, want to introduce the Korean term for wisdom teeth: Love Teeth. Isn't it more likely that a 20-year-old person discovers love than wisdom about the time he or she has "love" teeth?
I left home (Korea) over two decades ago, as I did not want to stay as "a frog in a well," which describes a person with limited experience and vision.

"Every tragedy," according to Jimmie Briggs, "deserves its own recognition." Each person has a story to tell. Briggs interviewed women in the Republic of Congo who had been raped and learned of the use of children in war-tactics. The women, Briggs reported, looked as if all the hope had been taken away from them.

On Monday, January 25, 2010, Assumption students, faculty and friends flocked to the Hagan Campus Center, filling the room to capacity. It wasn't to play Bingo or dance at a soiree, but rather to listen, learn and hopefully take away something significant, whether it was a touching story or an inspirational experience.

The first week back for students at Assumption College was exciting to say the least. Upholding the tradition, the Campus Activities Board (CAB) made it possible for students to celebrate their return for the spring semester with much more than a night out to Leitrum's Pub.
