St. Michael's was in town for homecoming weekend to face off against Assumption on Saturday, January 23. Alumni from all over were in attendance. Assumption showed their sense of community by selling T-shirts and having a 50/50 raffle to help raise money for the relief effort in Haiti.

In a well-earned victory in front of a homecoming crowd, the Assumption men's basketball team demonstrated its ability to come together as a team, and notch a win over Saint Michael's 77-60.

This year's version of the Ice Dogs look nothing like the team of last year. Riding a two-game win-streak, they find themselves approaching their first winning season since 2005, and have already won six more games than they did all of last year.
A 6-1 blowout conference victory over Stonehill and a 3-2 win over Salve Regina put the Ice Dogs at 10-8 overall with a first-place Northeast-10 Conference record of 6-1.
