Assumption's own senior, Laura Hall, competed in the Miss America pageant on Saturday, January 30, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hall was among the 53 contestants competing for the title. Hall did not make it into the top 15 but made her home state of Vermont proud at the pageant. Miss Virginia, Careesa Cameron, won the 2010 Miss America title.
From an earlier article written by Chrissy Winske, Hall won the title of Miss Worcester County at the age of 20 and went on to compete at Miss Massachusetts. This past year she was crowned Miss Vermont at the Barre Opera House and split her time between being a college student and a contender for Miss America throughout the past semester. Hall could not be reached for an interview at this time.
The members of Assumption College are proud of Hall for her accomplishments and supported her with a showing of the Miss America Pageant in Charlie's on Saturday night. More to come on Laura Hall when it is made available to us.
