February 22 is National Recreational Sports and Fitness Day and the Student Recreation Council, PAWS, Campus Recreation and the Health Center are teaming up for the third annual Assumption College Health, Wellness and Fitness Day. This year the group will be hosting a Health Fair on February 22, from 3-6 p.m. in the Plourde Recreation Center. Like last year there will be free massages for the Assumption College Community. Added this year will be health screenings, fitness tests, BMI analysis and other health and wellness related information.
The goal of this event is to educate students about the different ways to live a healthier lifestyle. The health fair will also be the kick off and sign-up deadline for Assumption College's Biggest Loser program. This is a six-week long program that will motivate students to try new activities and foster a healthier lifestyle for participants. Each week there will be a list of activities to choose from that includes educational seminars, work out requirements, dietary choices and much more. The overall goal is to get participants to exercise and to lead a healthier lifestyle, however there will be one overall winner of the Biggest Loser. Weigh-ins and BMI assessment will occur at the beginning of the program, after week three and at the end of the program. The person with the largest percentage of weight lost will be crowned Assumption's Biggest Loser. The program will be $10 per participant. For more information, please stop by the Campus Recreation Office.
BELLY DANCING ADDED TO CAMPUS RECREATION INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS

Campus Recreation is working hard to be more diverse and meeting the unique needs of the Assumption College Community.
